My practice is for adults aged 18 years and over.

Everything discussed within counselling is treated as confidential.

- safeguarding concerns arise;

Wherever possible, this would be discussed with you before any disclosure is made.

Electronic records are protected by secure devices and appropriate security measures.
How long I keep your information
If you become a counselling client, brief clinical records and associated counselling records are normally retained for 7 years following the end of therapy unless a longer retention period is required by law or professional obligations.
Sharing your information
Your information will never be sold or used for marketing purposes.
Information will only be shared where:
- you have given your consent;
- it is necessary to provide professional services;
- I am legally required to do so;
- there is a safeguarding concern or serious risk of harm.
Where appropriate, information may be shared with professional advisers, insurers or regulatory bodies where required.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to your personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing in certain circumstances;
- request data portability where applicable;
